On March 28 and 29, the accredited medical congress Doctors on Board took place in Bonaire, in the auditorium of Fundashon Mariadal. During this two-day event, healthcare professionals from the region came together around the theme of aviation medicine and medical care on board an aircraft.
Participants included general practitioners, specialists, nurses and air ambulance teams from the Caribbean. In interactive sessions and presentations, they shared experiences and insights on topics such as medical evacuations, care at height, communication between cabin and ground, and the practical challenges of providing care in the air.
The conference offered a unique opportunity to pool expertise and strengthen cooperation in regional emergency care.
Fundashon Mariadal facilitated the location and provided support for this valuable initiative, which contributed to both knowledge sharing and network strengthening within the Caribbean healthcare region.
