The laboratory provides 24/7 laboratory diagnostics. The laboratory is open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. for healthcare providers from the hospital and the general practice center. An on-call service applies from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Material for clinical chemistry can be delivered to the laboratory from 7:00 to 23:00. Material for microbiology can be placed in the refrigerator at the microbiology laboratory 24/7 immediately after collection. Blood cultures can be placed in the blood culture machine immediately after collection, in accordance with the instructions posted there.
For Cito determinations for Medical microbiology, you can contact the doctor-microbiologist on duty outside the opening hours of the microbiology laboratory. In consultation with the doctor-microbiologist, an inventory is made of whether the requested diagnostics can be performed on Bonaire or whether it is better to transfer the patient to another center for the requested diagnostics.
