The board of Fundashon Mariadal has consulted with Mr. E. Arkenbout. As an independent advisor, Mr Arkenbout investigates how ambulance flights of ZJCN policyholders can be optimally carried out in both the short and long term. This is done at the request of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. Between 2018 and 2023, Mr. Arkenbout was the official representative of the Netherlands in Willemstad for the countries Curaçao, Aruba and St. Maarten. So he is very familiar with the islands and local conditions.
The board of Fundashon Mariadal has promised Mr. Arkenbout that it will cooperate fully in his investigation. Mariadal will make all information relevant to the investigation available without any reservations. In addition, the board has expressed its full willingness to contribute to an optimal solution for the safe and reliable execution of ambulance flights for all involved, but in particular for patients. The board highly appreciates the efforts of Mr Arkenbout and looks forward with interest to his conclusions and recommendations.
It has now been agreed that the informative meeting between the island council and the director of Fundashon Mariadal, Giovanni Frans, will take place in the week of June 3. As previously reported, the board of Fundashon Mariadal fully understands that the island council wishes to be informed about current developments and Mariadal’s position in this regard. Naturally, Mr Frans is prepared to answer the groups’ questions.
